Autumn Adventures

A quick read and one I wish I could have listened to or, better yet, seen acted out on stage in a true Shakespearean spirit. 

The effort and talent that went into creating such beautiful verse from the original Star Wars dialog is self-evident and takes this space opera to a whole new level of literature and entertainment. 

A couple of excerpts that I just loved and/or chuckled about: 

OBI-WAN:

-- True it is,
That these are not the
droids for which thou
search'st.

TROOPER:

Aye, these are not the
droids for which we
search.

LUKE:

--But O, what now?
What light through
yonder flashing sensor
breaks?

LEIA:

Ah! Gov'nor Tarkin,
scurvy knave art thou.
Now seems it plain to me
that Vader doth
Perform the part of docile
dog unto
The sick'ning whinny of
his Master's voice.
Familiar stench of dog's
best friend have I
Mark'd deep within my
sense of smell e'en when
I came unto this station.

LUKE:

She shall be executed!
Thou hast said,
Mere minutes past, that
thou wouldst not remain
To see our sudden, sure
imprisonment.
Now is they fondest wish
that we should stay?

HAN:

To march to the detention
block's unwise!
To make our way to
danger folly 'tis!
To there present ourselves
is passing mad!
To boldly go where none
hath gone is wild!
